My Top 5 Make Up Items

I'm a bit of a lazy girl and when it comes to make up; I'm happy for days off where I can chill in jammies and a bare face. I can happily go shopping or to the cinema without any make up on either. But I still love make up and I have some firm favourites that I always use in my routine.

1. MAC Prep + Prime BB SPF 35 £23 (here)
I was very suspicious when I first bought this as the consultant who reccomended it to me didn't seem to have a good product knowledge and also tried to claim all the MAC primers were suitable for oily skin, but I am now firmly in love. I was looking for a really sheer coverage as I feel I don't need a lot of coverage, but I feel like this gives a light coverage so I use it sparingly. Out of all the primers I've tried, this has actually turned out to be the best for oil control. I own both extra light and medium as I wear it when I go out in town, which sometimes mean I have fake tan on. It is one of my priciest items of make up but it lasts me about 3 months so I don't mind paying a little extra!

2. Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara £6.99 (here)
I wasn't sure if I'd include this as in use it as a top coat of mascara, but since i constantly repurchase it I decided its worthy of my list. I used to love L'Oreal Million Lashes but the past two times I've bought it I haven't been as impressed. But which ever mascara I wear, I use Scandaleyes on top as it gives my lashes plenty of volume and an intense colour. As I've mentioned before, my lashes are sparse and pale in colour, so I like the intense look. The main issue I have that stops me wearing this mascara alone is the brush. My eyes are quite small, so when I try and use the massive brush on bare lashes it can't catch them and ends up going all over my eyelids.

3. MAC Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50 £23.50 (here)
I only wear foundation when I'm going out somewhere like dinner or out in town, but as I have oily skin I still need something to help keep shine at bay. As this product is oil free and contains powder, I can wear it with a little bit of my own powder on my T-zone without having to worry about looking oily. It also helps give me a smooth completion and evens out my skin tone. I originally bought this particular primer for going to Teneriefe, so when I run out I might try another MAC Primer such as the Prep + Prime Skin, but for now its a product I use almost every day.

4. The Body Shop Honey Bronzing Powder(*) £13 (here)
I have quite a large forehead and a bulbus nose, so I usually contour my face. Finding a matte bronzer that is light enough for my skin proved to be a lot harder than I expected. I use a flat topped brush in circular motions over my temples and use the side to add bronzer in the hollow of my cheek bones and the sides of my nose.

5.E.L.F  Studio Eyebrow Kit £3.75 (here)
I love E.L.F as it's so cheap and a lot of the items are as good as drug store brands. I have both the ash and light colour as I need a darker colour when my tint starts growing out. One side is a wax to add colour and tame the brows, the other is a powder to set and fill in any gaps. It's so cheap and lasts a long time, I use mine every day and it takes a year to use it up!

What are your top 5 make up items? Also, as you can see in the photo my mascara is at it's end, so can anyone suggest a good mascara for thickening without ending up with panda eyes half way through the day?
