Empties #1

The Body Shop Rainforest Shampoo//The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Gel//La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo//T Zone Nose Pore Strips//

I've been meaning to make an Empties post since about the start of the year, but I'm so forgetful that I've only just managed to get a collection of items that are empty. It did include of having to dive in to my bin to save items once I remembered I was meant to be keeping them, but I managed to save enough items to make a post!

The item I've probably been using the most is The Body Shops Rainforest Balance Shampoo. I've mentioned this on a previous post here and will probably repurchase this, but in the Shine version.

Another item I love from The Body Shop is the Brazil Nut Shower Gel. It's a limited edition, so I stocked up on a few when they were in the Sale nearer the start of the year. I've gotten through two bottles already, so I'm hoping to find some more at the next sale!

Most of you blogger-savvy readers will probably remember the massive hype over La Roche  Posay Effaclar Duo at the start of the year. After seeing reviews of people who had been using it for months, with before and after pictures that showed a massive improvement I decided it was worth a shot. For over a year my skin had been really bad with constant breakouts of blemishes and spots over my cheeks and chin (see an example in my first ever post here.) I used Effaclar Duo for about 2 months before abandoning it and completely forgetting I had it as it didn't seem to show much of a difference. I hadn't noticed as I've been so busy, but I recently met up with a friend who commented that my skin is looking much clearer. I can't really pinpoint what changed, as I've been through college, a make up course, a change of jobs and a change of almost all the products I used, but whatever caused my blemishes seems to have gone, with no help from any particular product! Sorry, that was a bit of a tangent! Basically I didn't find that Effaclar Duo did anything for my skin, so I won't be purchasing it again.

The last product in my empties is the T Zone Nose Pore Strips. I bought these as Savers didn't have my beloved Bioré strips, so I picked up these for £1. They're not bad for such a small price, but my pores get so clogged that I definitely need the strength that Bioré gives!

I can't believe how long it's taken my to get together items for an Empties post! I'll try and be more savvy when I finish with more products and hopefully I can write another empties post in a few months. What are the products you run out of fast? Do you always repurchase the same items?

  2. I'm currently using the Effaclar Duo and I find that it helps a bit but not too sure how much, I guess I'll find out when I stop using it! I've never used nose pore strips, but really want to try them now as I've always got clogged pores x
