Shop My Stash: Sleek Blush By Three

Sleek Blush By Three Californ.I.A

I got a really good response to my first Shop My Stash post (here) and after rediscovering the palettes, it made me delve into my masses of make up to see what else I was forgetting about. I ended up picking up the Sleek Californ.I.A palette and remembering how much I loved it!

I went through a phase of wearing cream blushers rather than powder and as I've been leaning a lot more towards dewy finished bases, I've fallen back in love. They're perfect for those times when you want a dewy finish, but don't want a shimmery blush. Californ.I.A has one pink, one orange and one peach blusher. To be honest I'd never use the orange on its own, I would just mix it in with the other colours! I did try to use it as a highlight as it has a tiny bit of glitter in it, but it just didn't have me enamoured.

The best way I find to use cream blusher is to apply it before any powders, using my ring finger or more preferably, a due fibre/stippling brush. If you're using your finger, pat the colour onto the apples of your cheeks and blend with the same patting motion, bringing the colour up along the cheek bone. With a brush, I tend to again pat on the colour, before lighting swirling and blending the colour up my cheek bone.

I always looked at the Topshop cream blushers but never bought any, so after rediscovering this blush palette I might have to go and invest! Have you tried any cream blushers? What about Sleek, anything you can recommend trying out?
