Garnier Summer Body

Garnier Summer Body

When it comes to palepeopleproblems, you can't get much paler than me! For those MAC lovers, I'm an NW10. For those of you who don't know what that colour looks like, it's pretty much an off white beige.

As much as it doesn't overly bother me that I'm mega pale, sometimes I just want to be tanned, especially when I'm wearing cream or pastel clothing. It can be a bit of an effort to use a fake tan, wait for a few hours and then wash it off, only to usually decide I need another layer. I've tried many gradual tanning moisturisers before, only to find them streaky and mega orange. I had this conversation recently at work and a few of the girls suggested the Garnier Summer Body, in the Deep Sun-Kissed Look rather than the lighter version. I saw it in Boots on a half price offer, so decided to give it a go.

Another suggestion I had is to use a tan mitt to get a nice even application. After 3 days, I noticed I had a nice light tan, that looks a lovely golden colour rather than an obviously fake orange tone. It does have a slight build up on my fingers and ankles, but nothing than can't be sorted with a little exfoliation. The tan mitt has given me an even coverage with no streaking and the moisturiser sinks in nicely, without being really sticky.

The only downside I've had so far is that using it on my face has brought me out in spots. I guess I'll have to look into a facial tanner!

Have you tried any gradual moisturisers? Which brand do you like?

  1. I'm super pale too and always really liked this - I like the smell more than most gradual tanners haha! I always forget to use them though after like the first 3 days! :(

    1. I exfoliate every three days or when my skin starts to feel rough! I apply it with a tan mitt to keep is even. Hope you like it, I really do!
